ConceptDraw MINDMAP supports numerous map inputs, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, EverNote and Outlook

ConceptDraw has recently launched a new version of their acclaimed MindMap application, a tool to create handy, colourful diagrams that help you organize your work projects and personal ideas.

The latest MindMap includes a handful of interesting improvements that make the program generally more accessible, something novice users will be grateful for. The first great change we notice is a brand new interface with a fresher, more attractive design. What's more, MindMap includes a bunch of templates and a very complete tutorial to get you started in no time. You can tell the developers have made a real effort to make the program easier to use.

However, I still found it difficult to work on formatting aspects. Although you can use map themes to change the map aspect with just one click, they're generally quite unattractive. Then, if you want to customize your map you have to navigate through each element's context menu. Also, drag-and-drop is restricted to clipart, and can no longer be used to add new topics to the map.

On the upside, MindMap features some nice improvements. For example, now it enables to have the Map and Outline views simultaneously on screen. It includes a large variety of symbols and clipart to use in your charts as well. The Brainstorming tool has also improved a lot, enabling you to jot down ideas directly on your map and move them around without worrying about format, size or color. And once your map is done, you can export it directly to PDF, PPS, DOC or HTML.

Use this application for process construction, mind mapping and brainstorming.

ConceptDraw MINDMAP offers a variety of outputs, making it easy to share map content in the appropriate format. Creating output is simple; just one click allows you to output to other applications, such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, as well as ConceptDraw PROJECT and ConceptDraw PRO. You can generate text and tables that are pertinent to your work. The output capability of ConceptDraw MINDMAP unlocks the information in your maps to build documents.

With one click, you can communicate status, update tasks, write articles, and build presentations from your map, choosing the appropriate document type and template. For example, you can generate a task list with one click.

Helpful copy and paste capability built into ConceptDraw MINDMAP can be used to manage spreadsheet data from MS Excel. Data can easily be moved from one of the applications to the other by using copy and paste functionally, preserving data structure as data is transitioned into a different visual format.

ConceptDraw MINDMAP offers a set of tools to create presentations from a mind map. With one click, you can generate a slide show. You can build multiple presentations and store them in a single map.

Different audiences require different types of presentations. You do not want to make a different map for each presentation. ConceptDraw MINDMAP can create many types of presentations from a single map.

ConceptDraw MINDMAP supports inputting external data into a map with one click. Input capabilities are critical because it makes your data visual. After the data is visual, you can manage and communicate your data using newly generated documents or presentations.

You can input data as a task list, resource list, Gantt chart, or even input brainstorming or search results in the maps you build. The flexible copy and paste capabilities of ConceptDraw MINDMAP allow you to input data from Microsoft Word or Excel.
